Scello is building the verification layer for a workforce that is mobile, distributed, and under-protected — proof that protects workers, gives employers confidence, and gives third parties a way to verify what happened.
Trusted by contractors and businesses across the UK
Our mission
“To make work visible, portable, defensible, and fair — without turning verification into surveillance.”
A world where every genuine work session can be trusted, verified, and protected.
Scello was born from a simple but urgent problem: millions of people work every day without reliable proof that their work happened.
Lionel de Vasselot saw this first-hand through decades of operational experience in France, Greece, and the gig-economy services sector. He watched workers lose pay, protection, and opportunity because they had no trusted record when their hours were challenged.
Ashley Coleman brought the technical and ethical architecture that made Scello different from traditional workforce monitoring. From the start, the principle was clear: verify the session, not the person. No webcam surveillance. No keystroke logging. No emotion detection. No stress scoring. No productivity spying.
Together, Lionel and Ashley are building Scello as a trust layer for work — proof that protects workers, gives employers confidence, and lets third parties verify what happened without exposing unnecessary private data.
Proof of work integrity — never surveillance of the individual.
Designed to protect workers and employers together, not one at the expense of the other.
Workers carry their proof with them, wherever they work next.
Only the signals needed to verify a session — nothing more.
No webcam monitoring, keystroke logging, emotion detection or productivity scoring.
Records that are independently verifiable by anyone who needs to check them.
An operator who lived the problem, and an engineer who refused surveillance.
Co-founder & CEO
Lionel brings 20+ years of operational experience across property, hospitality, field services and gig-economy operations in Europe. Through his work in France and Greece — including Worryla from 2022 to 2025 — he saw how weak records and disputed hours leave workers with no proof and employers with no reliable evidence. Lionel leads company vision, commercial strategy, investor relationships, and regulatory positioning.
Co-founder & CTO
Ashley is a senior technology leader with 25+ years of full-stack development experience. He leads Scello’s product, AI, architecture, and technical execution, and designed the Multi-Signal Trust Engine around one principle: verify the session, not the person. His architecture rejects invasive surveillance — no webcam monitoring, keystroke logging, emotion detection, stress scoring, or productivity spying.
Whether you are protecting your hours or managing distributed teams, Scello gives you a stronger way to prove work happened.
